School Governor

Overview

St George’s Infant School is seeking committed and community-minded individuals to join our Governing Board. As a governor, you will play a vital strategic role in shaping the direction of the school, supporting leaders, and ensuring the very best outcomes for our children.

Personal attributes

We are particularly interested in individuals who can bring the following skills and experience:

• Chair of Governors (from September 2026)
• Financial expertise (e.g. budgeting, accounting, audit)
• Human Resources experience
• Practical or technical trade experience (e.g. construction, maintenance, health & safety)

No previous governance experience is required – training and support will be provided.
